“There is something really beautiful about the simplicity of well-proportioned columns and the visual cadence you can create with just a few elements,” says artist Sarah Von Dreele. Sarah Von Dreele is an artist who divides her time between New York City and Long Beach Island, New Jersey. Trained in typography and graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design, she paints exclusively with gouache to explore the range of opaqueness and transparency of colors. “My work is ethereal and calm, and the repetitive nature of the paintings is inherently meditative,” she says.
